initial consultation in your home.
Intial Consultation
This takes up to 2 hours, where we discuss the issues you
have, your ideas, plans, personal tastes, and budget.
It is also necessary to ascertain the way you and your family
live and how you use your home, what needs the family members
have and how to accommodate those needs.
We also look at the existing contents and discuss what you
feel needs to stay and what you think needs to go, we look
at your lifestyle, future needs and your budget.
Using this information
we can then make some on-the-spot recommendations about paint
colour, furniture and layout, art works and accessories, window
treatments and effective lighting. We can also show you some
samples and you are invited to take down notes of suppliers,
colours and products we have suggested.
If you would rather have it all documented, you could choose
to upgrade to a home styling package.
Interior Decorating Packages
If you like what you are hearing and want to proceed with
the recommendations, then we will prepare scale drawings and
paint schedules if needed, and display the finishes on a design
board for your approval. Documentation is included in all
the interior styling packages offered on the rates pages.
You can choose to take a package depending on your needs.
Full day or half rates plus project rates are also available
for those with larger projects to complete
Another way is to pay as a percentage of the total project
cost (also called a project fee). This is calculated as a
lump sum based on the hourly rate and the time needed to see
the project to completion. This enables the client to know
up-front the cost of the interior styling service before work
begins. It makes budgeting for the project a lot easier for
you. A project fee is negotiated with each individual client,
according to your own needs.
In this case the
project fee is fixed and only increases where extra works
are required, after the renovation works are completed.
A deposit will be required before works begin and interim
payments are required at set intervals, as advised by us.
