  Project Management - How It Works!

Sometimes a renovation can be all too much time consuming, disrupting and expensive to say the least! It often requires a lot of your time onsite and your knowledge of trades and how they work, to be done successfully. If you are strapped for time or unsure how the renovation process works, it can PAY to have an expert in the drivers seat.

A project manager will organise:

  • Trades and quotes on required works
  • Materials and delivery of products on time
  • Measuring, planning, double checking quantities
  • Supervision of trades and checking for faults
  • Payment of trades and services on your behalf
  • Advice on colour, design, finishes, fixtures, lighting, layout etc
  • Sourcing, purchasing and choosing products and materials
  • Bringing the whole project together in a balanced and harmonious way
  • Management of the project budget

Our competitors do not offer you a "full service" - we help you choose your colours and your materials; source tiles; flooring, sinks, taps and all necessary items, at discount or trade prices. We help to colour co-ordinate and style your project, taking all the pressure off you to choose the right colour, the right tile, the best tap etc...

We give you our full attention and provide the whole service, not just partial service.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT FEE DEPOSIT AND CONDITIONS

Please note these important conditions for booking a project;

  • When booking a renovation a $500, NON- REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT, is required to;
    1. Hold the date for renovation to take place
    2. Allow for a fee payment to be made,  for all works conducted by Essence,  prior to start of renovation.
    3. To cover expenses incurred by Essence Interiors, in setting up quote days, phone calls/emails to trades and to client, completing drawings and plans, and setting aside the hours to do the job.
  • The booking fee,  is a deposit on total fees payable to Essence Interiors, for the works performed during a renovation, by Essence. ( ie;  supervision of trades, organising materials etc) When the renovation proceeds, this fee deposit amount will come directly off the total fees payable to Essence for that project. The booking fee does not form part of payments required for materials, labour or progress payments for works
  • If a client, for whatever reason, cancels a renovation project, at any stage prior to the approximated start date, the deposit will BE FORFEITED BY THE CLIENT. When booking a renovation therefore, one must be certain of their plan to go ahead and of their financial capability to carry on the works and pay for them accordingly.
  • Specific reasons for cancellation of a renovation, will be considered on an individual basis, however, Essence Interiors has the right to refuse a refund of the fee deposit,  or a refund/part refund will be negotiated, at our discretion.
  • If a client chooses TO DEFER A RENOVATION PROJECT,  the deposit will by applied to a new start date - providing there has been enough notice,( more than 14 days) of the change in start date. If not, then the client will forfeit the deposit and would need to re- book. These details will be negotiated, at the discretion of Essence Interiors.
