Paint Colours For Interiors

Colour Consult Only 1 Hour

$150 per one hour booking;
Can cover a two storey (4 x 2 home at the most**)

INITIAL CONSULT UP TO 2 HOURS OF GENERAL INTERIOR ADVICE (including paint colour) FOR $330.

Note initial consults are invoiced.
Paint colour consults are cash only. ( both payable on the day)

FOR THE PAINT COLOUR ONLY CONSULT

Paint colours are given on the spot using Dulux or Taubmans paint or any paint brand of your choice , if you ask in advance.
Paint sample cards will be given if they are available or paint brochures given on the day. (Note; not all paint colours in the deck or masterfile are on brochures or sample cards)

**If you have a house floor plan, I can map out what walls are in what paint colour using a coloured marker. This helps the painter to follow the paint plan. This can be particularly helpful to contractors.

Otherwise I can list the paint colours for walls, frames, doors, skirt and cornice/roses etc For you and explain the process so you can advise the painter or contractor**

Initial Consultation: Of Up To 2 Hours

ALL CONSULTS START WITH THE MINIMUM INITIAL CONSULT

This consult suits those who need a general overview of how to make improvements to the home. During this time, you may take notes of the products, paint colours, suppliers and finishes, that are discussed. Recommendations will be given on anything you require including;

Paint and colour selection
Furniture selection and placement
Lighting requirements& space re- design
Kitchen/ bathroom layout and finishes
Flooring options & window treatments

In this time, we can show you samples of products on the market, latest trends, paint colour charts, samples of finishes, and brochures.

Cost: $330 for 2 hrs

Hourly rate $198 or use our half day Rate (4 hr block or 8 hr block) or full day discount rate, which is prepaid, with top ups available. This is more economical and easier to track.

Full Report & Paint Colour Package

This package is designed for those who need help with paint colour selection and coordination. It covers: full selection of paint colours for each room, suggested feature areas, type of paint finish, coordination of wall colour with tiles, furnishings, cabinets etc. The service includes a 2 hour consultation plus a full package report within 1 week. We can use your chosen paint manufacturer or use one of ours.

Cost: $550 for 2 hours plus full report/plan within 1 week

Half Day Or Full Day Rate: For Small Projects

If more time is required, there is the option of a half day (4 hour block) or full day (8 hour block) rate. You do not have to take all the hours at once – we will calculate the hours – as you take them. Can be used for showroom selections, supervision of trades, purchasing, installations, on site styling etc…its very flexible!

Half day rate: $550 Full day rate: $1050

Project Management Rates For Renovations

For all renovations, a project management fee, based on the estimated cost of the works required, is calculated using a percentage rate. The project fee is fixed, based on the initial cost estimate, before works begin. Project fee rates are 15%, depending on the size of the project. For all projects, a contract is signed, with 4 stages of works detailed within. Each stage has an applicable progress payment; (for materials and labour); and a project fee (which will be invoiced separately).

All trades and materials costs are dispensed by essence on behalf of the client.

Included in a project fee are: All purchasing and showroom selection visits, management & total supervision of trades, design work and sketches, payment of trades, cost reports, customer deposit account updates, full report of outgoings through excel.

A $550 deposit on the full fee (which comes off the total bill and is non-refundable if the renovation does not go ahead) is required to book and hold a date for a renovation. This amount is to cover consultant works done prior to start date such as quoting, estimating and materials sourcing.

New Home Pre-start Package

For those building with a builder or an architect, we can help you choose all the right finishes for your new home and point out the limitations and advantages, of all the products available. This saves you heaps of time, disappointment and leg work. Let us show you all the latest trends and innovations – we do all the research for you! The choice is yours – meet us at a product showroom; eg: a tile showroom or kitchen showroom or come to us with your plans and builders guidelines.

Includes: a 2 hr consultation & 1hr showroom visit, plus detailed report of recommendations and display board / schedule of finishes. Please provide your full plans, builder’s addenda, preferred product suppliers, allowances for products, builder guidelines etc.

Cost: $600. extra showroom time at $165/hr

Remote Renovations Package

This package is for those people who are away most of the time, are working on remote locations, remote mine sites, are fly in fly out, or off shore drilling, working on oil rigs or working overseas etc.

This initial consult package is designed to be completed by phone fax and email
correspondence only, with little or no face-to-face contact with the client.
This is done by using photographs, digital images, scanned floor images, and through the use of the internet websites such as dulux.com to determine the colours and the clients needs.

The consult is initially by phone and email only, then a site visit is arranged with the letting agent or keyholder. (The client need not be present for site visit). A report is then given on the property and the client needs are assessed, along with the available budget and the report is then emailed to the client.

If the report is accepted and the client wishes to go ahead – then a contract is signed, estimates are made, quotes are done and the client is kept up to date with daily progress of the renovations by email and with photos taken on site digitally and sent direct to them by email.

There are regular cost report updates and a regular count of all outgoings is kept in a running tally in MYOB.

All payments are made via internet banking facilities and all trades and material
are disbursed by Essence, on behalf of the client.

The Package Includes the following:

Initial email consult
2 follow up phone calls to discuss renovations, of up to 40 mins each
Unlimited email plans and drawings, pictures, information and images, website links etc
A site visit of up to 1 hour – for the purpose of making a renovation report
An email renovation report plus an initial rough estimate of costs – sent back by email within 2 weeks of the site visit.
Recommendations and supplier referrals for finishes, products, flooring, window dressing, pain colour, etc

Total 4 Hours of work approximately
Cost of initial ‘Remote Renovations Package’ is $440 (Payable on day one of initial consult)
